My name is Mrs. Lawson and I am the Physical Education teacher here at Keheley. Mrs. Tramble is the P.E. paraprofessional and we have been working together for 10 years in the gym. We look forward to a great school year filled with FUN health and wellness activities. We want to offer your child the BEST Physical Education program possible.
The Physical Education program is based on Cobb County Performance Standards and the standards for the National Association for Sports, and Physical Education (NASPE). These standards will be the basis in which we will assess your child’s progress throughout the year. Your child’s grade may vary each nine weeks due to different assessments. We will also look at your child’s behavior and willingness to participate in class. We expect all students to participate on a regular basis, and to wear athletic shoes for their safety. It is suggested that girls wear shorts under dresses on those days they wear a dress to Physical Education. If your child is ill and unable to participate in P.E., please send a note or email. If your child has a serous illness or injury and cannot participate for an extended period of time, please send a doctor’s note.
We look forward to meeting new students and parents. We believe we can make a difference in the health and wellness of the children, the staff, and the families in this community. We want your children to LOVE going to gym and expect a fabulous school year.
