Thank you so much for supporting healthy eating habits at home and encouraging physical activity every day! We are hoping that your families are having food conversations and reading food labels every once in awhile;-)
The students here at Keheley really enjoy talking about nutrition and have brought in lots of food labels for the food wall in the gym. We have had a great time this nine weeks working on Soccer, Gymnastics, and Basketball skills. We like to teach and expose children to a variety of different physical activities. We want to make PE as FUN as possible so that they will be physically active for life!
I wanted to thank you all again for voting me as your favorite PE teacher in the USTA contest.Your votes counted! Our school won a deluxe Tennis package that included 1 net, 20 racquets, and 60 foam balls. The equipment is age appropriate for our Keheley students and I am so excited to be able to bring to the gym for them to use. Just recently, we won a $450 USTA grant for more Tennis equipment and we will be set for the spring lessons:-)
I also want to send out a special thank you to Diana Thompson, our Media Specialist Paraprofessional teacher, for creating the email blasts that were sent out to encourage people to vote. She is our Public Relations representative for Keheley Elementary School on top of her position in the Media Center. She does a fantastic job of supporting our students and staff throughout the year. Our Media center rocks because of Ms. Dupuis and Ms. Thompson! They are another example of what makes Keheley such a great place to be! Give them a high five the next time you see them!
Our staff is preparing for and looking forward to a wonderful 2016! Happy Holidays!
Ms. Lawson and Mrs. Tramble
